This week we are announcing yet another 2027 trip: Barcelona & beyond!

This is my favorite trip 🀩 since it is the one closest to my heart and the one that shows you some of the best parts of my country.

On this week's newsletter:

  • Our 2027 Barcelona & Beyond trip is live
  • We managed to add 1 new Triple spot on our previously sold out Antarctica Expedition in December this year. This is your chance to join 35 other women on a trip of a lifetime!
  • πŸ—£οΈ Last spots on our 2026 and 2027 tours
  • πŸŽ™οΈ On this week’s podcast episode: How to be a more thoughtful traveler, Meg talks to Amanda Kendle about the small choices we can make before, during, and after a trip to travel with more intention, curiosity, and care.

Our 2027 Barcelona tour is live!

Did you know that during the pandemic, we offered virtual tours in Barcelona?

The guide that hosted those tours, Ariadna, ended up being the guide who hosts our Barcelona & beyond tour, one that we have already run 10 times since 2022!

We have just added the tour to the 2027 calendar and I can't wait to meet you in my city! I am usually there for the welcome and farewell dinners to say hi and meet you in person.

Come join us! ✨

Dates in 2027: 29th May to 6th June, we are moving the trip earlier to avoid the summer heat and minimise the risk of heat waves

The highlights

These are the most iconic moments on tour.

Pastel-colored town of Girona

Famous for the Game of Thrones shows and the Flower festival, Girona is a super pretty pastel colored Roman town with a rich Jewish past and many legends!

We will hear how flies saved the town, why locals ask wishes from a lionese and enjoy a rooftop brunch by the famous Roca brothers, founders of the Best Restaurant in the World for 2 consecutive years.

This is also also Ariadna's home town, so she has all the insight knowledge.

Winery visit with blind tasting of seasonal Km0 food

Have you ever heard the saying "eating with your eyes"? We will discover how right that actually is!

We will visit a wonderful winery with panoramic sea views and join a blind food and wine tasting by the hand of a fun and knowledgeable local female wine lover and an expert in proximity food.

The food they will serve pairs fantastically with the wines and will show seasonal, km0 proximity food from the area the winery is in.

The cutest fishing villages

Always a favorite, the white washed fishing village of Cadaques is a postcard-perfect town in the rugged Costa Brava.

We'll explore it on foot and have some free time to enjoy the pebbley beaches and the beautiful spots.

We will also wander the streets of other fishing villages: Calella and Llafranc, two other tiny white washed villages on the sea that seem to be taken out of a painting.

To top it all off, we will go on a walking tour of Tossa de Mar, with its castle right above the beach and its picturesque walls.

Dali Museum

We will visit the Dali Museum on a walking guided tour with Ariadna for a generous dose of crazy. This genius' house museum and his extravagant work will inspire, surprise and never leave you untouched.

Spain's most beautiful coastal hike

We will live the sea life and understand what a summer vacation means for Catalans by going on a leisurely hike along the Cami de Ronda, the coastal path that links France with the Strait of Gibraltar and connects several postcard perfect villages, hidden coves and pretty beaches.

This is going to be one of the prettiest walks you have ever been on.

Barcelona's incredible architectural gems

You can't visit Barcelona without going inside Sagrada Familia so we will do just that and have all the insights from our lovely guide whose second office is inside the building.

We will also visit the lesser famous but even more beautiful, El Palau de la Musica, a stunning music hall with the most incredible rainbow, tear-shaped lamp.

Of course, we will explore the Gothic Quarter on foot, tracing the city's 2,000 year old history from the time of the Romans.

Sitges

Sitges is Catalonia's best kept secret only locals know about, just kidding. The town is known as Europe's gay capital and it is also my town, so I am ready to share all its secrets :)

This completely pedestrian small town is vibrant, beautiful and very much alive. Besides a walking tour and a couple of nights with sea views, we will also have time to enjoy the beach and the slow life that Spain is so famous for. Take a dip in the sea, lounge by the beach, shop or relax at the infinity pool of our 5* hotel.

Culinary orgasm

Yes, that is exactly what I said, because nothing describes Barcelona and Catalonia, the region it is in, better than our incredible food.

We'll go on a tapas hopping tour exploring tiny bodegas in Barcelona, we will participate in a paella making class that will be so much fun, and we will share brunches and sunset dinners on rooftops with the most beautiful views.

We will also have two spectacular gourmet meals with molecular cuisine splashes by the teams behind 2 of the Best Restaurants in the World.

Brunch at Casa Cacao by the Roca brothers from El Celler de Can Roca and lunch at Compartir, sister property of Disfrutar.

This is a trip for foodies.

A day at sea

We have hired speedboats to spend a morning along the coves and beaches of Costa Brava. Take a dip in the clear waters, swim into caves and enjoy a summer day like no other.

This is often the highlight of the trip, and the day most of our guests love the most.

After the sailing, we will spend some time at the beach and enjoy tapas and paella in one of the most stunning and privileged beachfront spots on the Spanish Coast.

Plenty of beach time

This is a summer trip, and we will spend more of the time near the sea.

You will have free time to enjoy the beach in Tossa de Mar, in Sitges, in Cadaques, in Aiguablava and of course, on the day we are sailing.

Bring your swim suit and dip your toes in the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea!

Hand picked hotels

I am passionate about hospitality and where we stay and I picked special places to base ourselves in. From quaint hotels that give us a local experience to sea-facing rooms.

We will stay at a family owned 4* hotel in the heart of Barcelona, walking distance to all the spots, at a 4* family owned villa turned boutique hotel in Girona and at a 5* Autograph Collection hotel in Sitges.

1 new spot added to out Antarctica cruise

When we announced our Antarctica expedition, we did not think it would be so popular. We started with 10 spots and kept adding more and ended with 35 women joining us on this amazing.

I am happy to announce that we managed to add another spot so this is your chance to grab it and come spent Christmas with the penguins!

I will be on that trip too, and looking foward to meeting as many of you as possible

We will start in Buenos Aires, spend a night there and fly to Ushuaia together for a night at a fabulous 5* wellness hotel up on the hill with panoramic views over Tierra del Fuego - or Land of Fire.

We will have an Argentinian wine tasting workshop and dinner and in the morning go on a short hike in the national park surrounding the hotel, and then embark on this 13 day trip of a lifetime.

This is an expedition stle of trip that maximises the time we will spend on land to up to 5 hours a day. The ship is made for these kinds of trips and does not have lots of common facilities because the point is to be on Antactica soil, on zodiacs, kayaking, etc. and not on the ship.

All activities are included: Kayaking, mountaineering / snowshoeing, polar plunge, hiking, zodiac trips and overnight camping on the ice.

A trip of a lifetime for sure!

Episode #14 - How to Be a More Thoughtful Traveler

This week’s episode of the podcast is a practical one that I think every traveler should listen to because small changes can make a big impact.

Meg talks to Amanda Kendle, host of The Thoughtful Travel Podcast, about what it actually means to travel more thoughtfully, and why it does not have to be complicated or perfect. Amanda has been in the ethical, mindful and thoughtful travel space for well over a decade, and this is an honest and reflective conversation about the goods and the bads of travel and how we can all do better at it, without shaming or blaming.

They talk about planning trips around what you actually enjoy instead of just following top 10 lists, being mindful about animal experiences, overtourism, and remembering that the places we visit are not only "destinations", but actually someone’s home.

I hope this episode helps you think about your next trip a little differently.
