We know many of you have been patiently waiting for us to launch this super fun summer trip, and the wait is now over!
This will be ultimate summer vacation for those who love to be in the water, with the sea breeze on their faces and the sun shining above.
We will take a dip in all shades of blue; from the boat, from beach clubs, from the pebble beaches, from the concrete swimming platforms, from the gravel beaches and even from a sandy one.
The plan
Dates in 2027: 26 June to 3 July, 2027. We will only have 1 sailing in 2027
Number of guests: 30
Itinerary: Click here to see the full day by day itinerary on our tour page.
Our Futura yacht set the standard for premium boats in Croatia and remains one of the best floating hotels in the country.
Cabins spread across the two lower decks, a deck with the dining room and relaxation lounge and a top sun deck with loungers, sofas and a hot tub that offers 360 degree panoramic views of the beautiful Croatian coast.
The interiors have just been completely renovated and the boat is always kept in tip top condition, ready to take us on a trip of a lifetime.
Meals onboard are freshly prepared and delicious and the chef is famous for putting together some of the best onboard menus.
Important: Bedding onboard boats in Croatia is unique, please read the detailed descriptions of each cabin on the tour page.
2. Island hopping in the best way
Southern Croatia's Dalmatian Coast is best explored on a boat, sailing through the many islands and stopping by at each in the afternoon and evening.
We will stay docked at port till the following morning, so you can go out and enjoy the nightlife, and the boat is typically, accessible throughout our stay at port.
This is a trip that can be a first visit to some of these beautiful islands and give you a reason to learn more about them on a future trip.
Our sailing time will be kept to 3-4 hours on most days and we will sail slowly, feeling the breeze and enjoying the warm weather.
3. Daily swim stops
Our itinerary is designed for those who really love the sea.
Every morning, we will anchor at a wonderful spot for a swim stop.
Put on your swimming suit, jump off the boat's sports platform, float with a noddle, take the stand up paddle boards for a ride, grab snorkeling gear and explore the underwater life or, in some cases where we may be near a walkable shore or beach, ask the crew to take you to shore.
More of the stops will be near the shallower shore, but often this will be rocky and not accessible (just like in the photo above).
4. Walking tours of Trogir, Hvar, Dubrovnik and Korčula
We will visit several islands and get to explore their old towns, most of which date back to Venetian times, many also have Greek vestiges and ruins and some, like Trogir or Dubrovnik, are UNESCO World Heritage sites.
These towns are small, often visited in a walking tour that will last less than 1 hour, but have lots to see on your own afterwards if you are keen.
Churches, monasteries, archeological sites, beaches and more, we will share suggestions for things to do when we get there and you will have free time at each to explore on your own, go shopping, or grab a drink and people watch.
5. Beach club day
We will start the trip on a high note, at a beach club and restaurant for a brunch and beach morning before we go to the marina for embarkation.
Get a taste of the Adriatic waters and meet your ship mates in the best setting possible: relaxed, settled into Croatian summer life and with salt in your hair.
6. Women owned artists and entrepreneurs
You know we love to meet local women doing extraordinary things and we will get to know a few of them during the trip.
Meet the mother and daughter duo are bringing back traditional Greek-inspired recipes with farm to table meals in the middle of the UNESCO world heritage protected landscape of Hvar island.
Learn all about coral jewelry with a third generation artist and owner of the second only coral store in the country. Her laughter and joy is contagious and her designs beautiful.
Touch innovative crayons you won't want to put down. They will make you want to pick up drawing.
Smell organic pure lavender oil harvested from steep slopes by hand and learn about its healing properties.
7. Gastronomic experiences
Food is such an important part of travel and something I always make time for.
As usual, we will indulge in delicious, freshly prepared, seasonal dishes typical of each island with ingredients that bloom in the summer.
We will pair wines with local snacks in Vis, feast on traditional food influenced by Greek recipes in Hvar's UNESCO listed Stari Grad Plain landscapes, enjoy a farewell dinner with views over the old walls in Dubrovnik and sample oysters and mussels freshly pulled from the water in Ston.
8. Options for those who like to like to stay active
This trip requires a high level of mobility and agility to walk up and down the many stairs inside the ship and cross several boats at every port where boats are docked next to each other.
Walking tours will be generally short, as the old towns of most islands are small, but the cobblestones are very slippery and uneven, and some of the towns are set on hills with lots of stairs.
Besides the base moderate level of fitness required to partake in the activities, you can choose how much more exercise you'll do every day.
For the water babies, stand up paddle boards and snorkeling gear is available at each stop to swim and paddle to your hearts content at the daily stops.
On Mljet, you can kayak, cycle or hike around the island during the whole afternoon. In Hvar and Ston, you can walk up to the fortress. Each island has lots of walking paths for early morning or late evening strolls.
Just want to relax beyond the program? Grab a sun lounger, a sofa and a book, lay back and enjoy the ride!
Over 250 of you have traveled with us on our Greek islands sailing trip and, naturally, may be thinking this is a similar trip so we wanted to highlight a few differences to help you choose if this trip is for you.
The Croatian waters are calmer than the Greek ones and the sailing time is much shorter and typically done early in the morning. However, nobody can predict the weather so, if you are prone to seasickness, discuss your personal circumstances with your doctor.
M/S Futura, and all other premium boats sailing Croatia, were designed with the local sailing idiosyncrasies in mind. That is, they are designed to dock at port and not at anchor, stacked parallel next to each other with up to 10 boats tied together. To get to our boat, you will have to cross the other boats. There is a gap between the boats which you will have to manoeuvre every evening and afternoon at port on your own. The gap can be 20-40cm (15-30 inches). People fall through these gaps all the time because they do not pay attention. The style of docking also means that other guests on other boats will also cross ours to get to theirs so there may be foot traffic around your cabin in the afternoon / evening. This is just how sailing in Croatia works :) Safety should not be a concern, but you should be aware that you may find people walking by your cabin
Boats in Croatia are all of similar length (just under 50m) and have 4 decks, with 2 of them containing the cabins, 1 for the dining room and 1 for the upper deck. That means lots of stairs every day to get from your cabin to the dining room, the upper deck and the launch platform to get into the sea. Mobility and agility are a must.
The trip is scheduled in the summer, when the temperatures will be high, as will the crowds. This is not a trip for those who can't tolerate or don't enjoy the heat. We will be swimming in the mornings, but all walking tours will happen during hot hours. That is just the nature of the schedule for all boats and cannot be avoided. Most old towns are shaded, but it will still be hot and humid. This is a trip for those who are happy being sweaty, barefoot or with flats, and with salty, messy hair.
The schedule is always subject to change. Daily timings will not be known until the morning, port authorities can always amend them, this is not a trip for the uber-organized, type A personality who likes to plan things ahead of time but for those who like to go with the flow, are happy with uncertainty and are looking forward to someone else taking care of the details for them.
