Reaching out to let you know that Bea finished editing the mini documentary of your climb and it is ready for you to watch.
Fair warning: Grab the packed of tissues, both Meg and & shed many tears with every revision. They were happy and immensely grateful tears, of course.
Thank you for choosing women
We are certain that, in the 10 days you spent together with the women of Tanzania, you felt how impactful and meaningful this climb was.
For some of you, it was a life's dream, a personal achievement, an adventure.
For Glory, it is, every year, the culmination of her daily efforts, the chance to see the change she is impressing every day in the tourism industry in the country. The confirmation that it was and continues to be, worthwhile of every headache, every obstacle and every challenge. She now only climbs on IWD with us, because we are working hard to bring more women to the safari industry too, and that is an even tougher challenge.
For us, it is a reminder to keep doing what we do, because one person or a small group of people, CAN absolutely make a difference, especially if they are cheered on by an extended group of supporters who also believe in their mission, regardless of how unachievable it may appear to be. You are that group.
Meg, Glory and I are SO grateful that you chose to climb with us.
It is hard to put into words what it means to us that, for the 4th consecutive year, we can run the climb with a majority of female porters and an all female guiding team, plus you.
You made it possible, and we hope the impact the climb had on you and on the Tanzanian women, will stay with you forever, as it will for us.
