And just like that, march is almost over and we are fully into spring in the Northern hemisphere, and Autumn in the Southern.
If spring is arriving near you, enjoy the flowering and blossoming of beautiful trees, it's the prettiest time of the year. β
On this week's newsletter, I wanted to tell you how I have perfected the art of a restful and peaceful flight.
How to have a restful and peaceful flight
I used to have a pair of noise cancelling headsets that then broke and I didn't get around to replace.
For Christmas this year, not knowing what to ask, I suggested a pair of noise cancelling Bose headsets, like the ones I used to have, and I was immediately reminded of how INCREDIBLE they were at completely blocking the world around me, no matter how noisy and crazy.
Since then, I am not going anywhere without them.
But, they are not the best option to sleep; they are bulky and sit big around my ears, so I cant turn sideways, so my Manta Sleep mask is handy for those occasions.
Here is my kit for a restful and peaceful flight:
Manta Sleep mask with Bluetooth, it's tricky to take a selfie without seeing!
Manta Sleep mask
If you have been reading these emails for some time, you may have already heard me say how much I love my Manta sleep mask.
I have 2 models, one that is made for side sleepers and can be connected to my phone via Bluetooth so I can play Calm meditations before going to bed (the one in the photos above), and the traditional one that is an eye mask only without the Bluetooth piece (the one in the photos below) but also made for side sleepers.
Manta Sleep mask, so tricky...
They are both great travel companions to sleep in planes and at hotels. They leave no mark when sleeping, an issue I have with regular sleep masks, and are so comfy and soft...
I have recommended them to many people and everyone loves them because they really increase the quality of your sleep.
These headsets (I have the one in White smoke) are perfect to block the world around you and enjoy peace and quiet even if you are surrounded by crying babies loud teenagers and constant flight announcements.
Airports can be extremely stressful and overwhelming places, even though they are one of my favorite places to spend time in.
I am lucky that I can open my laptop's lid and block everything around me, but since I have bought my new pair of Bose headsets, this is even easier.
Because they have an "Aware" option, I can switch on the sound and hear important announcements if I need to.
Oh and the battery lasts a very long time. This was my main concern as I want them to last me the frequent 24 hours of travel I do. And they have a regular cable to plug into your phone if you run out of battery.
It has also made a world of a difference in planes where the base level of noise is high because of the engine, and you then need to add the layers of noise from constant movement and other passengers.

We will be announcing most of the tours in the next month, stay tunned!
Flight search: I check all prices and routes on Google Flights but always, always book directly with the airline.
Water: I now travel with this water filter bottle (in peak white) and have used it in 10 countries, from the Amazon to the Caribbean to turn tap water into safe drinking water, without contributing to the plastic problem.
Sleeping in planes: I take 100+ flights a year, mostly in Economy. Sleeping in planes can be quite hard on 13-15h flights. I use the Manta Sleep mask and use it at home and when traveling, it's changed my life. It completely blocks the light and leaves no marks on your face, and you can connect it to your phone to play any meditation or music. It's BLISS! Check itβ
Tours and activities:GetYourGuide is my go-to site for booking tours, I've been using it for 10+ years.
Travel Insurance: Insurance depends on the person so it's best to use a comparison tool like Travel Insurance Master to find what works best for you.
